The HERA 2nd consortium meeting took place on April 27, 2020. The meeting took place virtually due to the Covid-19 travel restrictions. Partners had the opportunity to work closely on the design of the HERA serious game for problem-based learning and to analyze its potential. The meeting main topics were:
- Methodological learning design, including the identification of stakeholder groups, learning requirements, related practices, related active and problem-based learning design, questionnaire-based analysis of student expectations from problem-based learning, and early game design
- Design of the HERA learning game functionality. This activity took place in the form of a workshop during which project members worked collaboratively directly on the HERA game, evaluated implemented features, and made plans for the completion of the functionality that ranges from game scenario design to course design and collaboration support tools
- Planning for the development of educational learning scenarios to be integrated into the HERA learning game. The scenarios will be inspired by educational needs in actual courses at partner sites
- Planning of evaluation activities that are planned to start in the fall of 2020 with the engagement of external groups of students and educators
- Early planning of multiplier events that will take place in the spring of 2021
- Planning for the design of instructor support content in the forms of learning sheets and videos
- Administrative and financial issues
